If you’re a fan of exciting fights (who isn’t?) you were probably salivating at the thought of Conor McGregor vs Cowboy Cerrone matchup planned for later this year. Well we can put away the tissues and bottle of Jergen’s as Joe Rogan has put the last nail in the coffin regarding the fight.
“They were trying to do ‘Cowboy’ versus Conor and apparently the sticking point was that it was going to be a co-main event,” Rogan said on his podcast. “I think the idea is that they have to have world titles as a main event for pay-per-view.”

This might be the dumbest reason to not book this fight in the history of matchmaking. The guy has sold over 13,000,000 pay per views in 7 fights where he’s the main attraction!
Forget a title fight, save that for another card where you’ll need a gimmick to sell the PPV. Stack the undercard of a potential McGregor vs Cowboy card with up and comers to expose them to the MILLIONS that’ll buy the fights and watch them become household names overnight.
Oh yeah and give these two fighters 5 rounds! Of course we probably won’t see it go the distance but why rob us of 2 extra rounds of violence between these two strikers?
Do not displease the Just Bleed God.
