Le’Veon is officially a free agent and I just want to tell Steelers nation I’m sending T&P’s.

Sad news today as we are witnessing the final nail being driven into the coffin of the Bell vs Steelers saga. I have to admit as a Bengals fan I can’t fathom the thought of losing one of your star players.

I’m not one to kick someone while they’re down so if you’re expecting a Steelers hit piece here you’re going to have to go elsewhere. Instead I’m here to offer a good old fashion glass of half full optimism to my AFC North family.

Look on the bright side Steeler nation, you guys could potentially have a star in James Conners at RB to fill the void that Bell left. Having picked up Conners off of the waiver wire I witnessed 100+ yards rushing, complimented by 50 or so receiving yards, with a few TD’s sprinkled in there for good measure! Nothing to worry about here! Some might even call this an upgrade…

…however with a horrible ending to the season where Conners seemed to lose a lot of steam and fizzled out it seems like he may have been a flash in the pan. Not looking good for the black and piss yellow.

But wait! With a triple threat of Antonio Brown, JuJu Smith-Schuster, and the “Road Dogg” Jesse James, running the ball won’t even cross the mind of offensive coordinator Randy Ficthner!

Oh yeah Antonio Brown is leaving too….yikes.

I hate to kick a team while they’re down but it’s not looking good for the Steelers. Losing two superstars in Brown and Bell is going to leave a huge void to fill, and it’s not going to happen overnight. Have fun being 8-8 and standing outside in the rain while the Browns and Bengals compete for AFC North supremacy. If it’s any consultation (and sarcastic optimism aside) at least yout team will be better than the Baltimore Ravens!
