The Dynasty Tailgate Daily Fantasy Lineup: Week 2

People play Fantasy Football for many reasons, some play it because its fun, a lot play because it gives them a reason to watch the games their team isn’t in, but the majority play for the opportunity to add some extra cash to their alcohol fund! This is why Daily Fantasy Sports is all the rage in today’s age, it gives the people the opportunity to win money every day, with various sports. At the Dynasty Tailgate we are here to help you win some money in Daily Fantasy Football, here is our week two lineup on DK.

QB: Aaron Rodgers V Minnesota Vikings ($6800)

There is not a lot of chances that you can pay the price on one of the best players in the league, and have the potential for it to pay huge dividends for you, but this week I think you have this opportunity with Aaron Rodgers. As we all are well aware Aaron Rodgers suffered a knee sprain in week one Vs. the Bears, and not is going up against one of the soundest defenses in the NFL, but please don’t let this be the reason you stay away from Rodgers. Since Rodgers is hurting and is playing the Vikings, I expect his usage rate to be a lot lower than usual, with the possibility he has a huge game always there I believe he is the perfect high-risk high reward play, if you’re trying to win the big bucks.

If for some reason Rodgers misses week one, you have plenty of other options which include, Phillip Rivers, Cam Newton, and Kirk Cousins that all have favorable matchups.

RB: Todd Gurley V Arizona Cardinals ($9200)

Right after Aaron Rodgers, we are spending big again, on the ultimate offensive weapon Todd Gurley. We like to spend money on Gurley because he is a player that won’t play us out of contention, because of his extremely safe point floor because of his usage in the offense and a ceiling that could propel us into the top portion of the rankings! Let the other owners waste their cap on David Johnson, who has a tough matchup against a loaded Rams Defense, or Alvin Kamara who is $300 more expensive than Gurley, we will take that extra capital and spend it elsewhere on our roster.

RB: Isaiah Crowell V Miami Dolphins ($4600)

To help pay for the studs that we have up top here, we will take the low price on one Isaiah Crowell. Crow may not be the flashiest back in the league, but the guy gets the job done, and if Darnold can play another sound game I think Crow will be able to run against a Defense on their heals for the majority of the game. We may not get the output that he gave out last week, but if we can get a touchdown from him, that’s all we need with the firepower we have.

WR: Antonio Brown V Kansas City Chiefs ($83000)

Here we go again, adding another high prices player to our daily roster! I think AB is a great choice for daily fantasy this week, no matter the rest of your roster looks like. Antonio Brown is set to go up against an unproven Kansas City Chiefs Secondary, and chances are good that he will get the best of him. Even with a banged up Big Ben throwing him the ball, I see Brown getting multiple touchdowns in this one!

Chris Godwin V Philadelphia Eagles ($4600)

Taking another cheap high upside player here, adding Godwin at $4600 here, I think we are getting a great value. Godwin at the end of last year, and in week 1, proved that he has what it takes to be a productive fantasy option when given the opportunity. The tough thing is giving him the opportunity, with wide receivers ahead of him like Mike Evans and Desean Jackson, Godwin has been buried on the depth chart. This week Jackson is fighting to get through the NFL’s concussion protocol if he fails to do so Godwin will receive all the opportunities to make an impact in this format. If Jackson does give it a go we may have to look in another direction, the good news here there are a lot of cheaper options on the board. If Jackson plays I may look at guys like Dante Pettis who should receive a bump in production with Goodwin missing week two, I would also consider dropping down in the defensive ranks to grab Sam Darnold’s new favorite target Quincey Enunwa (Not by much he’s only $100 more).

Josh Gordon V New Orleans Saints ($5800)

Despite his rough week 1, only receiving one reception on three targets, getting Josh Gordon at this cheap price is a huge steal. We are adding Josh Gordon to a roster with Aaron Rodgers, Todd Gurley, and Antonio Brown, all of which could easily lead the league in fantasy points in any given week. If Josh Gordon can get back on track, with the steady hands of AB, Rodgers, and Gurley, we are putting ourselves in great shape to win a lot of money in our daily fantasy contest.

TE: Ricky Seals-Jones V Los Angeles Rams ($2900)

Well, we all knew if we wanted to get the studs on this roster we had to make sacrifices at other positions, the good news is, the tight end position is exactly the position you want to do that with. With that in mind we are rolling with RSJ, yes I know the Rams have a STACKED defense, but Jared Cook just dropped 30 PPR points on them on Monday. At RSJs price low price point this week, he will need to score a touchdown to pay himself off, something that could easily happen.

Flex: Mike Williams V Buffalo Bills ($3700)

Heres another cheap option that allowed us to afford the star-studded talent that you saw up top, the good news this is another high upside pick. In week one Mike Williams caught five balls for 81 yards, and I look for him to expand on these numbers against the lowly Buffalo Bills by adding a touchdown to this stat line. If you are starting Charger starters such as Rivers, Allen, and Gordon, in this game you have to be worried of an early exit because of the score. With Mike Williams, this isn’t an issue, he will be on the field the whole game giving you production.

DST: Los Angeles Chargers V Buffalo Bills ($3600)

This one is an easy one, take the defense playing the rookie quarterback with no offensive line. Even with missing Bosa again this week, I look for this defense to get after Josh Allen and forcing him to make multiple mistakes, giving you more fantasy points!

Pro tip: you could also take the riskier option and take the Jacksonville Jaguars defense, playing against the Patriots, and have $800 leftover to upgrade your TE or Flex positions.
