By now you’ve all seen or heard about the Nike and Colin Kaepernick ad. If you’re rallying behind Nike and Kaepernick but would like to gain some perspective on why some people feel the need to burn their $150 Air Max’s this blog should help. The same goes for those who cut the swoosh off of their socks who are trying to figure out why people are rallying behind Nike’s latest ad campaign.
Alabama: You may not impersonate a member of the clergy. Such a misdemeanor could result in actual jail time, and/or a fine of up to $500.
Alaska: If you kill a moose (or any big game animal) no matter the circumstances, you gotta at least try to salvage the meat so people can eat it.
Arizona: It is illegal for men and women over the age of 18 to have less than one missing tooth visible when smiling.
Arkansas: Honking one’s car horn at a sandwich shop after 9pm is against the law.
California: In Chico, California it is illegal to own a green or smelly animal hide.
Colorado: Owning a house where unmarried persons are allowed to have sex is prohibited.
Connecticut: It is illegal to blow a whistle outdoors.
Delaware: In Rehoboth Beach, Delaware it is illegal to whisper in church.
Florida: It’s illegal for hotdog vendors to dress provocatively.
Georgia: In Columbus, Georgia, it is only legal to fly a model airplane as long as it’s either on your private property, or on property adjacent to a morgue.
Hawaii: Riding in the back seat of a car without a seatbelt will get you fined, but riding unfastened in the bed of a pickup truck is completely legal.
Idaho: It’s illegal to sweep dirt out of your house.
Illinois: Trick riding. No rider of a bicycle shall remove both hands from the handlebars, or feet from the pedals, or practice any acrobatic or fancy riding on any street.
Iowa: Palm reading and fortune telling is forbidden in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
Kansas: In Wichita, Kansas, it is illegal to say rude things on the phone.
